Function of environmental control system for initial lunar Apollo mission is to maintain temperature of Command Module at between 70 and 80 F with maximum of 90 F during re-entry, and humidity between 40 and 70%; atmosphere is 100% oxygen at 5 psia; block II life-support system differs from previous systems, such as those used in Gemini and Mercury, in several ways, which are pointed out; oxygen supply, cooling system and water supply are also described.
