System concepts considered for lunar exploration beyond current schedules Apollo/LEM flights comprise Apollo Logistics Support System (ALSS), in which lunar mobile laboratory (MOLAB), is considered as one of its payloads; preliminary design studies of MOLA B system have shown that emphasis should not be placed on any single subsystem, and that tradeoff must be made between MOLAB's many subsystems; subsystem design characteristics and performance covered are mobility, power, cryogenic storage, life support cabin, astrionics, and tie-down and unloading subsystems.
