Some flow problems in air and space propulsion systems under development in German Federal Republic are considered; they include cascade flows, in which influence of Reynolds number, Mach number, axial pressure ratio turbulence and boundary constraint have been studied; flows with heat addition at subsonic and supersonic speeds are dealt with, including reaction-kinetic effects in ignition of fuel and in recombination processes in expanding jets; flow problems which arose in development of rocket test beds for third stage of ELD O rocket are described and, in particular, special rocket steam generators and flow problems associated with strong cooling of hot rocket gases.
