Detailed numerical method for determining conformal mapping coefficients for complicated shapes is developed; body contour of each cross section is approximated by series of line segments and limited to singly connected regions; mapping process is readily adaptable to computer and has been programmed on IBM-7094; three cross sections, typical of re-entry vehicle shapes, mapped with good accuracy, are shown; aerodynamic derivatives and load distribution at low angles of attack are presented for re-entry vehicle, blunted 13° half-cone.
