Extensive vibration and sound pressure measurements were obtained from ground test acoustic simulation of Ranger lift-off and transonic excitation modes; method of using acoustic acceptance measurements from both tests to predict lift-off vibration environments was developed; acoustic acceptances were then used to predict range of expected vibration in spacecraft adapter area during flights.
