Notes and dimensional particulars for Iyoharu Maru (103,854 tons dw) and Yamaju Maru (121,453 tons dw) completed at Hitachi Zosen's Innoshima shipyard for Yamashita Shinnihon Kisen; to ensure wider field of vision, tower bridge has been made seven decks high, and inside this building-type bridge are crew living quarters, completely isolated from engine room; respective vessel dimensions are length oa 846 ft 5 1/2 in. and 912 ft 1 in., breadth molded 131 ft 10 3/4 in. and 145 ft, depth molded 71 ft 6 1/4 in. and 70 ft 6 1/2 in.; respective outputs of Hitachi-B and W engines are 23,000 bhp and 27,600 bhp.
