Special navigational requirements of hovercraft are outlined and it is shown that, to maintain desired track, three conditions must remain constant -- vehicle speed, wind speed and wind direction; results obtained with Decca Navigator and Flight Log, with which Vickers VA-3 and Westland SR.N2 hovercraft were fitted, showed that Decca Navigator enabled craft to maintain track accurately while radar provided anticollision data; concept of integration of radar and Navigator and/or Decca Radar system through Omnitrack computer.
