Report shows that, contrary to certain affirmations, methods of repair are extremely numerous and varied and are applied in various fields (automobile, aeronautic, railway) where spot welding is very well developed and where progress is continuous; factors which influence repairs on steel and light alloys; examples of repair of carbon steel elements in damaged buses or railroad cars; repair of 18/8 stainless steel parts; repair of sandwich-structure in aircraft.
