Investigations of this system, made at McCook Field by Eng. Division of Air Service are said to have established its applicability to motor car. Vacuum of gasoline supply system used on LePere biplane is generated by venturi tube placed in air stream above upper wing. Gasoline is drawn from main supply tank in fuselage to gravity distributing tank in upper wing.
