Overall length is 3 in. greater than standard safety car previously constructed. Other modifications are: Water table is pressed as integral part of letterboard; side posts are extended down over side sill; crown pieces are substituted for dasher angles and furring; and belt rails, 1/4 in. by 1 3/4 in., are used instead of dropper bars.
