Engine was run at series of set speeds at each of which temperature of air to carburetor was held successively at certain fixed temperatures, 70, 85, 100, 120, 160, 200, and 240 deg. fahr. After establishment of desired temperature carburetor was set first for maximum richness of mixture at which engine would run satisfactorily, then for minimum richness. Performance curves derived from these tests are presented.
