Obstruction lights should never be used to designate boundary of field; in marking pole line, obstruction light should be placed on each pole along airport and at least three poles beyond airport in any direction; trees should be marked by lights on poles; hangars lighted with red lights; it is often practical to floodlight areas containing smoke stacks, water towers, etc.
