Methods employed by Lenoir Car Works foundries, Lenoir City, Tenn., in making railroad specialty brass castings; special iron molds in which castings are made having standard gate and riser combination used in all molds; castings are cast on end and whenever they have flanges at ends they are cast with widest flange up; walls not machined.
