Structure is almost two miles in length and rises to height of 155 ft. above high-water level over ship channel; designed to carry highway, street railway, and pedestrian traffic only; South approach and pavilion; North approach; center span is 1097 ft. center to center of main piers, which provides clear navigation channel of 1000 ft.; trusses of anchor and cantilever arms are of K design.
