Diesel engine built by General Machinery Corp and hydraulic torque converter type of transmission for railway motive power use, developed by Hydro Transmission Corp, Hamilton, Ohio, being demonstrated in 70-ton 6-wheel switching locomotive built by Plymouth Locomotive Works; wheelbase of 8 ft 8 in. and length over couplers 27 ft 6 in.; 6-cyl Hamilton-MAN Diesel engine has cylinders 8 3/4 by 12 in. and develops 400 bhp at 900 rpm.
