Vessel, for General Steam Navigation Co's Continental passenger service from London, built by Wm Denny and Bros, Dumbarton; length 313 ft; breadth on water line 40 ft; depth to main deck 12 ft 6 in.; propelled by two 8-cyl standard Sulzer 2-stroke, airless injection engines with cylinder diam of 360 mm and stroke 600 mm, developing total of 4500 bhp at 320 rpm.
