Procedure in automating processes of reliability prediction by computer; print-out is reliability figure-of-merit for each system configuration under various conditions of stress, failure conditions and operating time periods; example relating to satellite PCM telemetry system; advantages of automation claimed include rerunning complete reliability prediction with each circuit release, and optimizing system design configuration by "backing into" contractural reliability figure, thus assuring minimum redundancy.
