Linear programming model for analyzing optimum employment of cargo aircraft in transportation network; formulation is general in nature, allowing multiple aircraft types, various cargo classifications, trans-shipment of cargo at intermediate cities, and multiple pickup and delivery points on each route; output includes optimal allocation of aircraft to specific routes and defines in detail manner in which cargo is delivered within this route network.
