Air cargo and passenger craft fuselage design philosophy evaluated in terms of capacity, comfort, and craft strength; it is concluded that forthcoming wide single deck fuselage seating up to 10 abreast will have limit of 550 passengers; for large capacities, multideck craft are more efficient; problems of terminal design, passenger and cargo loading and unloading with multideck craft are not insurmountable.
