Background of experience and development which has led to stretched version of short haul One-Eleven with 97/99 seats for British European Airways and world airlines from 1968; design features and major engineering differences between BAC One-Eleven 400 and 500 Series are described; cutaway drawing and details of various systems are presented; flight development program is scheduled for Aug 1967 and first deliveries are scheduled for autumn of 1968, initially to B EA.
