First stage of airport development included single 7000-ft runway, terminal building and aprons, taxiways and auxiliary building; one center pier linked terminal building with aprons; second stage works were designed to provide additional movement areas and facilities; runway was designed for 54 movements/hr; 48 aircraft parking stands are required; movement between aircraft and building is by 70 passenger bus; departure and arrival at landside is 28 to 30% by car, 10 to 15% by bus, and 56 to 70% by train.
