Outline of development in design and construction of welded steel bridges during last 10 yr includes, Ljubljana railroad bridge over River Neretva, bridges over ship canals along Adriatic, and highway bridge, Sava 1, over River Save at Belgrade, which is claimed to be world's largest plate-girder bridge in which welding and riveting was combined in its construction; highway and railroad bridge over Danube, and Sava II bridge are also described.
