Measurement (under New Zealand conditions) of thermal conductance of freight cars, thermal history of cars and their contents, and effectiveness of carbon dioxide injection as means of controlling rise in temperature of frozen lamb carcasses held in cars; quantity of carbon dioxide required to maintain car load of frozen carcasses below selected maximum temperature over period of three days was determined.
