State of art report notes existence of numerous reports on status of recent cavitation research and, to avoid repetition, selects instead some specific old and recent results of research in field of cavitation and cavitation damage for review; attention is focused on promising routes to follow in search for solutions to problems currently encountered in predicting full scale performance.
