Use of copper and/or tin wheels impregnated with diamond for cutting cultured emeralds is described; development of multiple manual and automated dops makes possible faceting of 30 to 60 stones simultaneously; cultured emeralds of precise size and shape are now available at one-fifth cost of natural stones.
