Two boats, Pointe a la Hache and Scarsdale, were built at Madisonville, La, yard of Equitable Equipment Co for Dept of Highways of State of Louisiana; vessels are of welded steel construction with twin-screw diesel propulsion; length oa 150 ft, beam molded 60 ft, depth molded 10 ft, design draft 5 ft; each vessel is designed to carry 35 automobiles on deck and 50 passengers seated in deck house.
