Rail lock consisting of single manganese-steel casting, eliminating all stress in horizontal bolts due to live load, because casting is level on bottom and rests directly on base plate that carries rail; lock is attached to 110-lb bridge rail by single standard angle bar on outside of rail and four 1-in. bolts that engage angle, bar, track rail and rail-lock casting.
