New belt-conveyor loading plant, supplied to Southern Railway by Fraser and Chalmers, runs parallel with ropeway; capable of loading into ships alongside run-of-mine coal at rate of 500 tons per hr; essential features are: tippler, tray conveyor for elevating coal; belt conveyor, and transverse conveyor on derricking boom, with telescopic shoot, for loading coal into ships' holds.
