Almost everything about steam railroad is electrically operated except locomotive; electricity automatically stops steam train if it runs through red signal; it lights train, cools cars, refrigerates freight cars, prevents ice from "sticking" switches, provides nervous energy for signal systems, controls switching of cars on sidings, and even floodlights yards.
