Emergency methods adopted on Sept 5th 1931, at western portal of Connaught tunnel at Glacier, BC, when sudden flood buried tracks under 10,000 cubic yards of rocks and mud, carrying debris into tunnel; matters complicated by simultaneous washout, 30 mi west of Glacier, which undermined bridge, carrying tracks over Twin Butte creek.
