Goodsway and its conveyor system planned as complete automatic method of transportation for all kinds of goods, including coal and other minerals, within radius of 12 mi of Charing Cross, that is, about 175 sq mi; railway would run through tunnels 16 ft inside diam, enlarged to 25 ft at stations; stations connected by conveyor tunnels of 6 ft to 9 ft inside diam with public depots at street level.
