Bolton Abbey, is first of two twin screw vessels being built by Brooke Marine Ltd for passenger-cargo services of Associated Humber Lines; length oa 302 ft 4 in., breadth molded 45 ft; deadweight 1080 tons; two 8-cyl Ruston and Hornsby engines each develop 1806 shp at each tailshaft at 190 rpm; accommodation is provided for 80 passengers in single and two berth cabins; about 900 tons dwt can be carried and about 45 of largest type railway containers.
