Of vessels below 1000 gross tons, total of 100,000 gross tons was completed, so that production of merchant vessels of all classes and sizes reached 2.5 million gross tons; about 60% of ships constructed were for export and 50% comprised large oil tankers with deadweight capacity of over 30,000 tons; prices showed gradual decline.
