Instrumentation systems described fall into following categories -- time domain, frequency domain, and special analysis; time domain systems indicate response of vehicle to ride disturbances in time sequence which is recorded by oscillographs; frequency domain systems indicate response of vehicle as terms in Fourier series; data presentation systems are described for time and frequency domain testing; two specialized data presentation systems are also described.
