Use, for first time, of high speed electronic machines in plan and critical path scheduling of major Canadian National Railways (CNR) construction project; combined marshaling yard, diesel and car repair shops, freight terminal and passenger station is described; yard has handling capacity of 1500 cars/day, with standing capacity of 2000 cars; "talk-back" systems were installed for communication between personnel; supplies are piped to diesel shop; yard is linked to other parts of CNR system by microwave link.
