Guidance and control system of missiles and space vehicles is discussed which consists of two control loops; inner-control loop (autopilot) on-board of vehicle ensures parallel orientation of its roll-, pitch-, and yaw-axes toward fixed reference system; ground-installed outer control loop (guidance loop) guides vehicle and provides necessary correcting orders; interference on autopilot of such factors as aerodynamic forces, structural vibrations, fuel slashing, staging, and noise can be reduced by means of precise control system as well as appropriate structural design.
