Existing theory is examined, set of practical design parameters is compiled, and design procedure is established; emphasis is on how to estimate or extrapolate losses in system from available data; it is suggested most important conclusion is that efficiency of internal pump-jet propulsion system is significantly less than efficiency of conventional propeller for large ocean-going ships.
