Improved correlation of test results needed to guide researchers in development of new and improved oils and because of high cost and time of engine testing; lubricants in point are MIL-L-7808 oils, used to lubricate all advanced Air Force and Navy turbines powering such aircraft as B-52, F-102, A4D and FJ-3.
