Passenger and cargo ship built by Harland and Wolff, Ltd, for British Phosphate Commissioners, is designed with pillarless holds having ramped up boundaries to facilitate handling of phosphate cargoes; length bp 485 ft, breadth molded 67 ft 6 in.; deadweight 12,000 tons; space for 48 passengers; 6 cyl Harland and Wolff main engine develops 6500 bhp at 110 rpm.
