Demand rose 11%, with sharp rises in jet fuel and in aviation gasoline; refining capacity rose 17%; crude and product exports rose to estimated 53,000 bbl per day during year; self sufficiency in oil grew by about 10% to 58% of domestic needs covered by Canadian oil.
