Two contractors utilize private roads for large yardages of imported borrow for urban freeway project in Los Angeles; sprinkler system for sandy borrow pit; 30 ton wagons carried loads as large as 50 tons in absence of any highway axle load restrictions; 20 ton rigs carried loads up to 30 tons.
