Measured mile trials carried out in loaded conditions, draft being nearly same; lines beneath load line are same for both ships; main engine is Cockerill built Burmeister and Wain diesel developing 6000 bhp at 112 rpm in normal service; for Lufira, with Brown-Boveri VTR 630 exhaust gas turbo blowers, highest trial power was 7500 bhp at 117 rpm; owners are Compagnie Maritime Belge.
