Free-autorotation tests, forced-rotation tests, and lift and drag tests on modified Clark Y airfoils in 7 by 10 ft wind tunnel; check tests on lift and drag characteristics at several values of Reynolds Number in variable-density with tunnel; flight and wind-tunnel tests show that use of sharp leading edges is accompanied by reduction in lift.
