Examples of interurban train sets and of mainline locomotives, suggesting other types more applicable to needs involved; Diesel traction, in spite of differing requirements of one railway from another and in one railway of one service from another, offers opportunities of standardization of types and of equipment that no steam-using railway can enjoy.
