New type of welding unit developed by Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Co, delivered to Lehigh Valley Railroad; evolved mainly with view to building up battered rail ends, cross-overs and points, for bridge and watertank repairs, etc; but can also be employed as source of auxiliary power for grinders, drills, and other tools.
