Built at Pennsylvania Shipyards, Inc, Beaumont, Texas, for Moran Towing and Transportation Co; draft 12 ft to 13 ft 6 in.; propelling plant consists of two main generating units and two propulsion motors working through Farrel-Birmingham reduction gear to single shaft; each unit made up of General Motors Diesel engine with cylinders having 8 1/2 in. bore and 10 1/2 in. stroke, developing 950 hp each at 750 rpm.
