Reference is made to method for first complete hydrographic survey of Cuama mouth on Zambezi delta, where plans for economic development of Zambezi Valley foresee need for establishment of fluviomaritime harbor; sounding was executed by means of direct intersection method using helicopters for transportation of echo sounder; operational techniques for sounding with helicopters and localization of points sounded are described, indicating also equipment and personnel required for such operations; results obtained are analyzed.
