Cycloidal propellers; theoretical study of kinematics, hydrodynamic flow, forces and general behavior of this form of ship propeller, which has recently come into renewed interest, due to development by author of Voith-Schneider system of rudderless propulsion; these propelling devices consist of number of vertical feathering blades mounted on rotating horizontal drums.
