1929 has been bad year for Austrian industry; market remained about same as in 1928; of 8000 cars sold, Austria supplied 75 per cent in 1928 but only 67 per cent in 1929; exports fell from 4000 in 1928 to 3200 in 1929, decrease due chiefly to increasing difficulty of exports to Germany; analysis of Steyr plant, its financial troubles and its poor outlook for coming year; similar analysis for Daimler Co.
