New Italian tank was officially opened on Nov. 3, 1929; it has length of 275 m., breadth 12.5 m., and depth 6.3 m.; and contains 18,000 tons of water; apparatus was supplied to designs of Gebers and was made in Vienna; cost originally estimated at 6,500,000 lire has been exceeded by 10 per cent.
